About Me and Southisms

I’m a marshmallow. Rawr! And I heart music.
And I am a starving “artist”. (Well, more starving than artist.) But really, Free-food and I are good friends.
So. Southisms is my blog about mostly music and everything else. I’m interested in so many things it’s hard to even just write about music.
I’m also a very proud Dabawenya. Have mostly lived and breathed and sauntered these here parts without losing a limb or two. Fascinating stuff. In the end, since this is one of the best cities in town, people can’t help but get stuck here. My musings are mostly a result of that being stuck and having to think of ways to make my stay in the south more interesting. Good luck to me! And thanks for reading!

[…] For a couple of years now I’ve been looking around for talented people here in Davao who have the potential to make an impact in the blogging world. Not necessarily to make big money, but to have a medium where they can have a big voice. So far, I’ve invited three people, one girl and two guys. Sadly, the girl is the only one who remains dedicated to her blog. That’s Kim Castillo, the author of the rockin’ Southisms blog. Anyway, I’ve gotten another girl on board recently, but right now we’re still working on her blog so I can’t reveal the site just yet. There’s another girl I’m trying desperately to convince since last year. But there’s a problem — the domain she wanted is already taken. We discovered that the domain was already registered just when everything was set and agreed upon. I was about to buy it and begin setting up the blog. Ever since, the blog has never taken shape, just because of that domain being taken. We’ve given her about 50 other alternatives, but she won’t budge. She wants that freakin’ domain! […]
