It’s possible!

Okay, I’m an Apple fan stuck with a PC and that’s frustrating enough. And since one of the best parts of having a Mac is to achieve that aesthetics so easily missed even in the (what Mac users accuse) copycat interface of Microsoft Vista, I decided to spend the entire night last night attempting to give my PC that Mac look. And guess what? Call me a poser or poseur but get a load of this…

It’s amazing how pretty your laptop or PC desktop can look like. I’m happy with mine, obviously. Let’s see if any of you are up for it!

Speaking of Apple, one of the reasons I want to have one FOR REAL is because it’s more efficient at getting my usual multimedia fun. I worked using Cubase for Mac in my last recording. Although the software itself is highly sophisticated, the results are unnervingly the way I want them to turn out. It’s this kind of software available to Mac alone that makes me scrape my dork nerves, and prolong my dork drools for inanimate objects. Heck, even my indie goddess, Feist writes her songs on a Mac. Some names I know who also use Mac would be… Duncan Shiek. Among others! Hahaha, I’m sure there’s a whole lot of them out there still.

I wonder if Richard Cheese is a Mac user? I’m so into his Rock revivals right now. It’s hilarious.

    @Drew - A lot actually. First I used Windows Blinds, which gives you more freedom to customize the themes…that’s where I got the Panthere Mac look for the windows and such. The Mac Dock is downloadable applet and the widgets I got that from Yahoo. :)

    @the exploited and over-exposed - UY! You’re a star on my blog. ;) Hahahaha

    Kim, did you use Konfabulator? Anyway, great job on your desktop. Get more RAM though if it’s slowing down your PC.

    Well, I have to say, as far as Vista, I think I’ll wait. I’m a computer tech, and after seeing so many functional computers being thrown out, have become quite the minimalist. Currently running a ADM Athlon that I built in 2001, and re-imaged it with XP about 3 months ago. It runs like a champ, and it’s likely I will squeeze 2 to 3 more years out of a 6 year old computer.
